Coaching

Old Tappan soccer uses volunteer soccer coaches.  Although there is no formal coaches training, coaches are expected to understand the game, skills, and managing kids in a competitive setting.  Coaches are very important to the program as they represent Old Tappan and its constituents to other towns, players, and parents.  Minimum requirements for a coach are:

Successful completion

• Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. program

• New Jersey State background check
